Stephen Leeds | Writer, Director, Producer, Editor
Stephen Leeds has a B.A. in Literature and Writing from U.C.L.A., and an M.F.A. in Film from Columbia University in New York City, where he graduated with honors. His short film “Get That Number” won Best Picture at the The Columbia University / Polo Ralph Lauren – New Line Cinema Festival of New Works, and was awarded the Filmmaker Magazine Audience Choice Award. It also won Best Short Film at the Sony International Film Festival, The Hamptons International Film Festival, The New York Comedy Film Festival, and The Urban World Fest. Additionally, the film was an honored selection of the The New York Film Society’s prestigious New Films / New Directors showcase at MOMA. Stephen has worked as a feature motion-picture screenwriter for various Hollywood studios and production companies, including Disney, New Regency, Phoenix Pictures and Alcon Entertainment. He is represented by Mike Esola and Jeff Gorin at The William Morris Agency. THE MAGNIFICENT COOLY-T was written by Stephen as a feature follow-up to his acclaimed short, “Get That Number.” After some years of working on projects in the studio system, Stephen produced “The Magnificent Cooly-T” independently. His goal has always been to make funny, original films that tell an underdog story and engage the audience with a sense of joy for life.
Luke Geissbühler | Cinematographer
Luke’s feature films include Borat, Mail Order Wife, Acts of Worship and Righteous Kill. His documentary work includes the graphic design film Helvetica as well as Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s, The Party’s Over and Barry Levinson’s, Hardball. PBS, Discovery, The History Channel, Bravo and Disney’s Muppets have been some of his television clients in past years. Luke is currently on-location working on Sacha Baron Cohen’s feature, Brüno.
Delphine Robertson | Music Supervisor
Delphine Robertson is an in-house Music Supervisor at Tom Hanks’ Production Company, Playtone. Many projects include Big Love (HBO), Charlie Wilsons War, Starter for 10, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, John Adams (HBO), The Pacific (HBO). She has also worked independently on such projects as What Happens in Vegas (Fox), One Missed Call (Alcon), For One More Day (Harpo), Because of Winn Dixie (Fox), Racing Stripes (Alcon), My Dog Skip (Alcon).
Andrew Gross | Composer
Andrew Gross has scored over 25 feature films and has over 100 episodic television credits to his name. Some of his scoring credits include The Good Girl, Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny, Bio-Dome, The Prince & Me 2 (and 3), and he recently completed the score for Universal’s franchise film series, Bring It On: Fight To The Finish. His score for 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag was re-purposed and subsequently licensed to Disney for use in the commercials and trailers for Ratatouille as well as Paramount’s Nacho Libre. In addition to film comedies and the hit CBS TV series The King of Queens, Andrew has also scored the indie thriller Forfeit and the soon to be released The Speed of Thought.
Sheri Davani | A.D. / Co-Producer
Sheri has served as AD on over 20 films and was a Co-Producer of “The Vicious Kind” which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Sheri was First AD on numerous films in competition at the Sundance Film Festival, such as the 2007 Grand Jury Prize Winner, Padre Nuestro (Sangre de mi Sangre), and Starting Out in the Evening, which was nominated for a Sundance Grand Jury Prize the same year (as well as two Independent Spirit Awards).
She was also the AD for Jeff Lipsky’s Sundance hit Flannel Pajamas, which was nominated for a 2006 Sundance Grand Jury Prize. Sheri has worked closely with notable producers Nancy Israel, Gary Winick (Tadpole, Pieces of April), Jason Orans (Goodbye Solo, Flannel Pajamas), Chris Hanley (Trees Lounge, American Psycho) and directors Chris Zalla (Sangre de mi Sangre), Luke Kasdan (Don’t Fade Away), Mary Stuart Masterson (The Cake Eaters), Adrian Grenier (Shot in the Dark, Euthanasia) and Jeff Lipsky (Flannel Pajamas). In addition to the Sundance Film Festival, Sheri’s films have competed and won prizes at the Tribeca Film Festival, the New York Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival.
Andy Hay | Sound Designer
Since receiving his BA in 1992 from Berklee College of Music, Andy has been cultivating his interests in all things music and sound. His achievements include independent and major label record releases as an engineer/mixer and producer in the UK and US as well as original compositions for film, TV commercials and video games. His post-production sound company Spank Machine is responsible for sound design and mixing of award-winning short and independent feature films. Andy also runs Third Story Entertainment, as producer and co-writer for a variety of children’s media including the hit ‘Princess Bean’ musical theater series, and ‘Bookjumpers’ – an animated kids TV show currently in development.
Sergeo Levitas | Production Designer
Production designer for film and television, Sergeo Levitas’ credits include the comedy feature films American Standard (2008), and All Screwed Up (2008), as well as the sex trade drama, The Child Within (2007). Sergeo has also designed many commercials and promotional spots for clients such as MTV, Nickelodeon, Wal-Mart, Burger King, Time Warner Cable, and Adelphia.
Daev Finn | Visual Effects Designer
Daev Finn is an artist who works with traditional and digital media. In his twenty year career he has worked on commercials, video games, architectural simulations, films and animated features. Among the creatures Daev has created are Scooby Doo, Garfield, Norbert the dragon from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, as well as Aslan and the minotaurs from The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, which was nominated for an Academy award for visual effects.
